Terms of Use
Effective September 3, 2026 · Last updated September 9, 2026
1. Service
Hydration Bear is a hydration reminder and tracking tool. Features include reminder schedules, temporary shielding of selected apps, camera-based drink confirmation, manual logging, hydration goals, and trend statistics. Availability may depend on your device, iOS version, system permissions, and Apple authorization status.
2. Accounts and eligibility
Accounts are optional and are used only for account profile management. You can use hydration logging, history and statistics, reminders, camera or manual confirmation, and temporary shielding of selected apps without registering or signing in.
Records and settings created while signed out stay on the current device and remain separate from signed-in account data. If you register or sign in, provide valid information and protect your account, password, and verification codes. Do not transfer an account, impersonate another person, or misuse the service through automation.
3. Health information and disclaimer
The App estimates a daily hydration goal from the sex, height, weight, age, and activity level you provide. The result is for general wellness and habit reminders only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and cannot replace a clinician's advice.
People with kidney disease, heart disease, ascites, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or ongoing treatment may need individualized fluid limits. Excessive water intake can also be harmful. Follow qualified medical advice. If you feel unwell, stop relying on the estimate and seek appropriate medical care.
4. Reminders, camera, and shielding
Use camera confirmation only in a safe environment. Do not operate the App while driving, operating machinery, crossing a street, or in another situation that requires your attention.
Shielding other apps depends on Apple Screen Time authorization. Select only devices and items you are authorized to manage. The feature may not work if permission is unavailable or revoked or if the system environment changes. Choose the shielded scope carefully so essential communication and emergency access are not affected.
You can change reminders, set the frequency to Never, revoke system permissions, or stop using shielding at any time. Manual confirmation is available if drink recognition is unsuccessful.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the App for unlawful activity, interfere with service operation, bypass security, distribute malicious code, scrape data in bulk, or reverse engineer any portion where prohibited by law. You are responsible for harm caused by violating these Terms as provided by applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
Rights in the App's software, interface, graphics, text, branding, and related content belong to us or their lawful owners. Without written permission, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit them beyond ordinary personal use.
7. Changes and interruption
We maintain and improve the service and may adjust, suspend, or discontinue features because of upgrades, system limits, events outside reasonable control, or compliance requirements. We will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption, subject to applicable law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is.” We are not responsible for interruptions caused by networks, devices, system permissions, third-party services, or circumstances beyond reasonable control, or for losses caused by treating the App as a medical tool or using it in an unsafe situation. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
9. Updates and governing law
We may update these Terms as features or legal requirements change. Material changes will be announced in the App or by another prominent method. These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. The parties should first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith discussion.
